SaaS SEO Case Study: 2X Organic Traffic in 2 Months

We started working with this SaaS company in mid-April, 2024. After doing a small project for them, they brought us on to do a more comprehensive look at their SEO.
They were seeing a record decline in Google traffic, which was lost to competitors. Here’s what we did to win back and double their qualified traffic in just 2 months.
1. Website Audit

We started with an initial website audit that helped identify these three things helpful in SaaS SEO:
- Top Growth Pages
- Top Loss Pages
- Key Opportunities
Once we understood a bit of the data, we were able to see why specific pages were either growing or declining. Referencing this to the competition and the current state of the search results, and we had an outline of what we needed to improve.
2. Initial Plan
Then, we took this info, matched it with the company’s priorities, and put it into an initial 3-month plan.
The company’s homepage, and other core pages were already fairly optimized, so we focused almost entirely on the biggest opportunity—poor content.
As with many businesses, the blog was neglected, left for poor-quality AI content.
Well, customers noticed, Google noticed, and it ate at their recurring monthly visitors and revenue.
When done right, a blog is often one of the best drivers of qualified leads in SaaS.
3. Content Strategy
We focused on what content was working well and how to clean up the content that wasn’t. Above all, we got super targeted on what the high-converting searches and keywords were.
So, we got to work. We put in a lot of time and work to improve the content and make it as helpful as possible for their Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
4. Increasing Conversions

Not only did we double traffic within 2 months, but we built a system that provides exponential growth and high quality leads for the business.
- Compounding Traffic Growth (currently 3x traffic)
- Lead Gen via Lead Magnet
- Lower Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
- Increased Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
While this approach worked for our client’s SaaS company, it doesn’t mean it’ll work for yours. Every website has different offerings, customer profiles, competition, domain authority, brand signals, and more, meaning you’ll need a custom SEO solution specifically for your website.
